What happens in Vegas…
I recently went to Las Vegas for a medical conference and I stayed at The Cosmopolitan. I’ve been to Vegas many times but this has been by far, my favorite experience. The best part of staying at The Cosmo was the location! You are right in the heart of the Strip and close to the best hotels (Aria, Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, MGM, and many more).
Everything in this hotel is so luxurious and spectacular. From the huge letters in the garage that say THE COSMOPOLITAN to the columns in the lobby which have video screens with images full of color and artistic display. The hotel is full of details that draw the eye to keep exploring more in every corner.
The size of my room was PERFECT! I was staying with my business partner and best friend, Pina so we were fine with sharing a room. It is so much fun when we stay together. It always ends up being a girls weekend full of conferences, makeup ideas and fun. Everything in the room was clean and the decor was very modern! I loved the combination of blue, rose gold and light purple.
I was excited to see the toiletries were from CO BIGELOW Apothecaries. I had heard of them but had never had a chance to try their products. Their body soap and body lotion were my favorite ones!! I tried the lavender-peppermint formula and they smelled amazing. It has a pure lavender scent with just the perfect hint of peppermint. My skin felt so smooth afterwards. Believe me, I brought some home… lol!
The best part of my room was THE VIEW!!!!!!!
I could see the whole Vegas Strip from my balcony. The Bellagio fountains at night were indescribable. You can watch a short video of the fountains in my Instagram account here…
How about food?? I am definitely a foodie and when I travel, I try to pick restaurants that are different, flavorful and reflect the style of where I am staying. If there are restaurants owned by a famous chef I will definitely go to those too. In Las Vegas, there is an extensive selection of restaurants owned by famous chefs, so I was in heaven! Lol!
The Cosmopolitan has so many amazing places to eat. These are some of my favorite ones: Eggslut– All-day Breakfast, Va Bene Caffe– Coffee/Pastries, and Scarpetta-Italian.
My favorite one of all was Beauty and Essex. I want to tell you guys a little bit about this restaurant because it is one of the best restaurants I have been to. It was so much fun to eat and hang out at Beauty and Essex. We went on a Thursday night and it was perfect! This restaurant is so different and fun and the chef is the one and only, Chris Santos! If you are planning to go, I recommend to definitely make a reservation because it is very popular and it is totally worth it.
When you go in through the main door it has a pawnshop entrance which is so cool!! You can see guitars on the walls, jewelry and so many unique artifacts. You keep walking until you make your way to the host and they take you to your table. This restaurant has a great vibe, with a darker ambience which makes the place look sexy and appealing! The food… OMG!! I can’t even begin to explain how delicious everything was. The plates are mostly tapas and small portions, to share. We ordered the most popular ones on the menu; French Onion Soup Dumplings, Short Rib Mac & Cheese, Elote Style Scallops, and Tuna Poke Wonton Tacos. I was definitely impressed! Later at night, this restaurant turns into a lounge with great music to get the party started.
You guys definitely need to check this place out if you are in the area!
After dinner, me and my friend went to see the bars in the hotel and my favorite one was The Chandelier. If you make your way through the hotel you will see it right in the center; a gorgeous, sparkling chandelier which you can’t miss!! If you want to have a drink before dinner or just relax after a long day of conferences with some friends, this is the place to go!
Here are some other pictures from the hotel… I will DEFINITELY be staying here when I go back to Las Vegas.
Favorite Nightclubs in Vegas: Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub (they have a new Dome Pool Party- open all year long) and Hakkasan at The MGM.
Hope you have fun on your next Vegas trip!!! Leave me your comments or questions and I will be happy to answer!
